Frank and Louie, Two-faced cat

frank and Louie was born with two faces, two mouths, two noses, and three eyes. He can see out of only two of his three eyes. The middle eye can’t even blink, which makes Frank and Louie appear to be staring even when his other eyes are closed.

It’s funny because people walk up to him thinking it’s a nice, fluffy white cat and they’re walking up with a big smile on their face to pat him, like, ‘Oh, what a beautiful cat’ and I see a look of horror come over their faces when they actually see his face,” the cat’s owner, Marty Stevens, said.

He is “very, very laid back, not afraid of people, very friendly and he’s actually more of a dog than a cat,” Stevens said. “He walks on a leash, he goes right in the car; he loves car rides.”

Frank and Louie, who gained national attention, set the Guinness World Record in 2011 as the oldest Janus cat, according to the New York Daily News. Stevens recused him from being euthanized after birth in 1999.

Frank and Louie may be the longest-living two-faced cat, but he certainly isn’t the only one. This Janus kitten was born with four eyes, two noses, two mouths and two ears on June 8, 1999. This kitten unfortunately died in 2014.
